Lantern Vases - January 5th

It seems like Christmas approaches and life tends to get WAY crazy. With that craziness (and Teresa, CraftyWife #1 moving) our blog has been so neglected!

We planned a craft night making these cute Lantern type Vases for December
and it sneaked up so fast that some of you weren't able to make it.
We will be holding another vase night next week on Thursday, January 5th at 7:00p.

November Craft - "The Stockings Were Hung...."

As young married couples, many of us run into the problem of not having a fireplace/mantle to hang stockings on for Christmas. Instead of just nailing stockings to the wall, we thought it'd be fun to make a wall hanger to put your stockings on. This sign is 19''x10''.


This craft night will be held on Tuesday, November 8th at 7:00pm.

We have a few price options this month based on the number of knobs you want on your sign.
Option 1: sign with 2 knobs will be $10
Option 2: sign with 3 knobs will be $11
Option 3: sign with 4 knobs will be $12
Option 4: sign with 5 knobs will be $13

You have three color options: cranberry red, cream, and hauser green.

Googly Eye Frame

When I saw this frame I knew I had to make one!

Check here for the tutorial. I waited too long to find "EEK" letters in stock at Joanns, so I ended up buying a 19 cent wooden bat to put on mine.

What a cute idea!

Last Night

Just a few pictures from last night when we made our wreaths!

October Craft - "Give Thanks" Blocks

Holiday decor is great.... so we've decided to make "Give Thanks" blocks (and pumpkin!) on Thursday October 20th at 7:00pm.



The cost will be $8.

We are out of spots! Those of you who signed up will receive a text on October 19th with directions of where we'll be. For those of you who weren't able to sign up, watch for next month's! (it's going to be a Christmas craft....)

Button Button!

This little craft only takes about 5 minutes... Turn cute buttons into earrings! A few of our friends have made these, so we gave it a try.

Supplies needed:
2 buttons (Joanns has fun buttons on clearance right now)
earrings (found at craft stores - $2.50 for about 24 pairs)
file (tool or nail)
wire cutters
glue (super glue or hot glue)


The first thing you will need to do is cut the back of the button off so you have a flat surface to glue your earring to. You will then want to file the back (using the file) so it's smooth.

The second/last thing you'll need to do is glue your earring to your button!

Pretty easy right?!

September Craft Night

For our 2nd craft night, we've decided to go with a holiday theme! Since Halloween will be right around the corner, we will be making this Halloween Wreath on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 7:00pm.

The cost will be $10.

We're all out of spots!

August Craft

Our first craft night will be Thursday, August 18th at 7:00pm!
We'll be doing a "Flip-Flop Refashion" from make it and love it.


The cost will be $5.

You have the option to choose:
flip flop color (pink, black, gray, brown, white)
strap color (pink, black, gray, brown, white)
(we'll provide scrap material for the flowers)

We'll be purchasing supplies on Friday, August 5th.

If you'd like to participate in this months craft, leave us a comment with your

by Thursday, August 4th.

(If you already have a pair of flip flops you want to use, post that in your comment and still mention what color of straps you'd like to use. We'll have everything else you need, so the cost will come out to be $2.50 without flip flops)

Who We Are & What We Do

We like to craft, but we've found that sometimes it's hard to find time to start AND finish projects. Because of this, we decided to set aside one night where we could start and finish one project and have fun crafting with friends.

Here's how it works:
We'll pick a monthly craft, set a date, get all the supplies for everyone, and do any necessary preparation. The craft will be posted here on the blog with the cost and the information we'll need from you. We'll try to keep all crafts around $10 -

Each craft will have instructions for how to sign up. We will set a date that you will need to sign up AND pay by. Refer to each blog post for instructions.

Each month at our craft night we'll display the following month's craft. Come prepared to sign up and pay for the following month's craft.
